Accounts & Ledger
Find the record, then inspect its source.
Accounts normally begin with statement evidence. Ledger preserves the original row while allowing reviewed meaning and categories.

What can block completion
- Missing required account type
- Invalid amount, date, currency or direction
- A required review field left unresolved
- Local financial data
- Accounts, transactions, corrections, filters and learned rules remain in the local database.
- Privacy or AI boundary
- Manual account and ledger work is local. AI suggestions are optional and never save without confirmation.
- If it does not work
- Read the inline required-field message. Cancel preserves the record; correct the value and save again.

Review or edit an account
- Open Analysis → Accounts.
- Select the account.
- Choose Edit account identity or Update provisional balance when shown.
- Confirm the required account type and changed identity fields, then save.

Search, filter and sort
- Open Ledger.
- Use Ledger search to find merchant, description or evidence.
- Open Ledger filters to narrow by period, account, category or review state.
- Clear filters to return to the full ledger.

Export the current view
- Set the filters you want.
- Open the Ledger export menu.
- Choose Export filtered CSV or Export filtered PDF.
- Review period, currency treatment and provisional-row disclosure before sharing.

Identity and provisional balances
Do not merge accounts because names look similar. Match institution, type, currency and masked identity. A provisional balance needs an as-of date and remains visibly provisional until supported.
